Those who are already employed in the profession that want to upgrade their web development skills may also benefit from this certificate. This certificate may also lead to entry-level web development jobs.

Careers
Web Developers design, create, and modify Web sites. Analyze user needs to implement website content, graphics, performance, and capacity. May integrate websites with other computer applications. May convert written, graphic, audio, and video components to compatible Web formats by using software designed to facilitate the creation of Web and multimedia content.
According to Oregon Labor Statistics (OLMIS), the total number of job openings for the Web Developers (15-1134) is “projected to be at about the statewide average number of job openings for all occupations through 2022.”

Program Requirements
Completion of MTH 095 or placement test scores indicating MTH 105 or higher and WR 121 or higher is required.
It is strongly recommended that CIS certificate- (or degree-) seeking students have access to a personally-owned, 64-bit Windows 10 (or newer) laptop with at least 16 GB of RAM, 1-2 TB hard disk, and other standard laptop accessories. You can purchase a full version of Microsoft Office in the UCC campus store at a very low, discounted student price.
